Brave the Alaskan Wild

Hell no I could not brave the Alaskan wild. Who wants to go out in the middle of nowhere with no food, no clothing, no sense of direction, no education about your environment, did I mention the ridiculously cold weather? Definitely not for me. I do not even go camping in Washington so there is no way possible I would do it in an endless wilderness.
However I do believe that if I was well equipped, I could last some time in the wild by myself. I would surely need lots of food like non perishables to keep me going. Lots of carbs for energy as well as veggies to keep my vitamins coming into my system. I would need a map, some type of vehicle and more importantly a good weapon that is light, quick, but very powerful at the same time, lets say a Magnum to hunt with. Almost forgot one thing, I would need to be by some type of water source mainly a fresh water river to help me replenish the mounds of H2O I will be losing in the wild.
As far as fear goes, I would only be afraid of waking up to an ambush from a predator. Starving and dying of dehydration is imminent, so I would not fear those, but being attacked by a mad cougar or something, would definitely not be the way I would like to go out. I want someone to find my remains.
Simply put I don't think I could brave the wild because I do not like the wild. After one day I would be wanting to go home, and all my bravery and courage would all go out the window. I like the natural world, but I also like it from a safe distance in my living room on the television screen.

Beginnings and Introductions

Hello,
My name is Jerroid Hopkins. My nickname is "J". My mom decided this because she thought that if I grew up and became a famous basketball player, they would call me Dr. J.... Funny I know. I was born in Wartzburg Germany. My mom and dad were both in the military, my mother being in the army for seven years. I moved to America when I was three months old to Illinois. By the time I was five I had went through Texas, California and finally Washington. I live with my mother and older sister who is 22 years old. I have three sisters, and I am the second oldest (one sister from my mom, two from my dad).
I am attending Washington State University not mainly for academics but rather the sport of Track and Field. I am a sophomore this year and last year I was ranked 46th in the nation for the 400mh, and 4th in the nation 19 and under at the collegiate and national level. Track hopefully will be apart of my life for a long time. When I am not racing I am focusing on getting a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am a little behind in math and science, but I plan to stick with it, I feel it is a great challenge.
As far as writing goes, it has been one of my strongest subjects for me throughout my schooling. However I do not favor structured writing. I'd rather be the type that gets to choose what they get to write about rather than boring books and meaningless essays. I believe that my schooling is almost, almost just as valuable as my track and field = )
The picture I posted for my profile view comes from the word knowledge when typed into google images, because to be successful in the world, you must be a thief of knowledge.
